1 Amazingly Powerful Affirmation

Do you want to have an awesome day today?

What if I told you it’s possible with a single sentence?

Whether you know it or not, your thoughts have tremendous influence on your mindset and your life experience. If you go through your day thinking everyone and everything is against you, that’s what you’re likely to see. I am not saying that every single thought you have becomes true in your life; the average person has 65,000 thoughts a day and that would be crazy. What I am saying, however, is those thoughts that you think over and over again are your beliefs, and your beliefs create your experiences.

Don’t believe me? Stop for a moment and think about some of your beliefs. Do you have a “hard time” losing weight? Do you tell yourself you’re not good enough to do something? Are you surrounded by funny people, but believe you just weren’t born funny? Or maybe your beliefs about yourself are limiting in your idea of your leadership qualities, writing abilities or relationships.

If you are unsure of what your beliefs are, become aware of your words and the things you say about yourself. For example, I used to label myself as shy. I formed this belief in early childhood likely from one or two incidences when I exhibited shy behavior traits and I started believing it. I started telling people I was shy and acting shy. Can you guess what happened as I got older?

I became more shy.

This went on for years. It wasn’t until I learned teachings from people like Louise Hay and others that I discovered my “shyness” was really only a belief. And it could be changed. Yes, I had to work diligently with affirmations for about 6 months, but it was well worth it; soon after beginning this work, my “shyness” began to disappear!

It wasn’t long before attending parties was fun instead of drudgery, and meeting new people gave me life instead of sucking the life out of me.

Shyness isn’t the only thing beliefs apply to. Your beliefs permeate every area of your life. If you believe you are a victim to your circumstances and the world is out to get you, that is what you’re likely to see. If, on the other hand, you believe the world loves you, and that everyone is rooting for you to succeed, that is what you’re likely to see.

The best, fastest method I’ve found for changing my beliefs is through mirrorwork – saying affirmations in front of a mirror on a daily basis. I learned about this practice through Louise Hay and it has CHANGED MY LIFE. Mirrorwork is a wonder drug for me. The 15 minutes I spend doing mirrorwork every day is invaluable. From this practice, I have conquered several fears and overcome many obstacles, including curing my own health issues, mending broken relationships, overcoming weight problems, defeating public speaking fears and creating miracles in my career and family.

One of the best places to start with affirmations and mirrorwork in your life is on your overall outlook. Are you skeptical about the world? Do you think people are out to get you? Is everything against you? Take a moment to really think about this and be aware of it today as you go through your day. For example, when you pull into a parking lot, do you expect to see all the spots full; or do you expect an open one waiting for you? When you go to the doctor’s office, do you expect a long wait time, or to get in and out quickly and easily? As you do this exercise, remember – it isn’t designed to make you feel bad; it’s designed to help you shift your thinking so you can have a better life! And that begins with the awareness of what beliefs and actions deter you from enjoying the good, awesome life you deserve.

If you can identify with anything I said above, try applying this affirmation to your life today:

“Everything Always Works Out For Me!”

Read the words a few times and say them out loud. As you go about your day today, say them in your head. Find a mirror, look into your own eyes, and say the words. And watch what happens in your life. Things may not immediately change overnight, but they will change if you continue this practice and shift your thinking.

Have you used an affirmation like this in your life? What was the result? Scroll down below this post after you’re done reading now and leave a comment. I love reading your comments and interacting with you. I promise to respond to every one!

    Love this!

I have an alarm set for 3 times a day that says, “Everything is always working out for me.” It is such a great and unexpected reminder throughout the day!
