Do you have a book in your head?
One that’s delicious and juicy, or helpful and inspiring?
Sometimes, I can be my own worst enemy.
The inner critic in my head is quick to point out what I could have done better. Or faster. Or stronger. Or sooner.
Happy Thankful Thursday!!! Gratitude is one of my favorite practices for cultivating happiness, and I always kick it up a notch on Thursdays, largely because I remember it more, thanks (pun intended!) to the awesome combination of the words ‘thankful’ and ‘Thursday’!
Just like our physical environments, clutter can also accumulate in our minds – taking up valuable space and blocking our creativity and joy!
Whether it’s an appointment you need to schedule but haven’t, old limiting thinking and
beliefs, judgments, resentments, self-doubt or insecurities, taking an objective
look at this mental clutter and writing about it is a cathartic and empowering way
to release it!

Now, on to the challenge! If you’ve never done a clutter clearing challenge before, the first thing to note is that there are no rules! I will give you guidance but, in the end, I encourage you to do whatever what works for you!
There’s a reason why people declutter or release on a regular basis. It keeps the energy moving and makes way for the new to come in! If you’ve ever spent time putting together a garage sale or even a few minutes going through your closet and donating the things you no longer wear, you’ve also experienced the innate feeling of lightness that follows once you release! Since everything has an energy to it, getting rid of things you no longer need is like taking a weight off your shoulders! In my experience, regular decluttering also leads to a clearer mind and makes way for the new come in!
