Why I Work With Crystals (and How They Can Help You, Too)

It’s no secret I love crystals and gemstones.

And who wouldn’t?

They’re beautiful, they’re decorative, and they’re fun to wear and accessorize with.

Kings and queens, emperors and empresses, and military and political figures have utilized the benefits of healing crystals and gemstones since the dawn of time. Certain metals and stones, like gold, sapphire and ruby, symbolized royalty in many European countries, as well as Egypt. And the Chinese, who were quite fond of jade, believed amber symbolized the soul of the tiger after death.

Like many of the ancient peoples and civilizations of the past, I, too, believe crystals and gemstones have special properties that can help us on our spiritual, mental, emotional and physical journeys. Whether it is clearing one’s aura, or protecting your family from stresses or worries, there is a beautiful world just waiting to be discovered inside the realm of crystals and gemstones.

If, like me, you can feel, see, or sense energy, you may find it helpful to explore how crystals can help you protect, balance, heal, transmute, release, manifest or enhance the energies inside, around, or outside of you.

I plan to write more on crystals in the upcoming months, but for now, I wanted to give you a few basics about crystals and gemstones, as well as some resources you can look into should the subject pique your interest. If not, that’s cool, too; I have no plans of turning this into a gemstone website as crystals and gemstones are just one of the many modalities I use in my work.

Using crystals for a relaxing bath

Like I said before, I find crystals and gemstones to be a wonderful supplement to the spiritual work I conduct on a daily basis. I use crystals and gemstones to support me in virtually every area of my life, from my career, to my home, to recreation, my children, finances, learning, relationships, and more.

Here are a handful of ways I specifically utilize crystals in my daily life:

  • Wearing them when I need extra comfort or support (I like snowflake obsidian and bloodstone for this)
  • Using them in a warm bath to soothe, reviatlize and nurture myself (Rose quartz and citrine are faves here)
  • Carrying them in my pocket or purse (the particular stones depend on what I’m facing that day)
  • Placing them on an altar or in a grid to bring extra attention or intention to something (I love clear quartz along with other stones for this)
  • Holding them or placing them on my body during meditation (I love using lapis lazuli, tanzanite, celestite and amethyst for meditation)
  • Visualizing them when I need to let go of something that is stubbornly hanging-on (I like hematite, lava rock, and red tiger’s eye for this)
  • Wearing or carrying them with me when I want to protect my own energy (I like black tourmaline, rainbow obsidian, and hematite best for this)
  • Imagining them or carrying them when I need to “go with the flow” (I love aquamarine for this)
  • Carrying or wearing them to tune into the cycles around and within me, for example when it’s a fullmoon or the seasons are changing (I love moonstone for this)
  • Placing them on a table or desk when I’m writing or creating content like new meditations, articles , speeches, or books (I like blue lace agate, vanadinite and sodalite for this)
  • Carrying them in my pocket if I have an upset srtomach (I love unakite for this)
  • Wearing a bracelet if I want to curb my appetite or cut down on stress-eating (blue apatite is great for this)
  • Putting one on my bedside table to help me have a good night’s sleep (amethyst and a salt lamp are my go-to’s for this)
  • Holding one and doing a quick breathing exercise if I feel overwhelmed or stressed (I love citrine, labradorite and rose quartz for these)
  • Keeping one in my wallet to increase prosperity (I use a jade coin)
  • Using them as coasters to ground and uplift the energy in my home (I love agate slice coasters for this!)
  • Placing them in various areas of my home as elements of feng shui (I love pyrite for the wealth corner, and stilbite for the creativity area)

I really could go on and on and on with this list – I use crystals for so many things and there are so many uses available!

But, for the sake of this article, I’ll stop there. You get the picture šŸ™‚

If you like crystals or you’re interested in anything I’ve written here, I want you to know there are many free resources available for obtaining information on crystals and gemstones.

One of my favorites – and I’m biased because I work for them – is Healing Crystals. On the site, you’ll find tons of free knowledge on crystals in the form of product pages, articles, and more. Healing Crystals also has an awesome Facebook Page – you can reach that here – with over a million followers where new information is given every few hours. It really is a crystal-lovers’ dream and you can learn so much about crystals by checking out that page.

If you’re interested in purchasing any crystals, there are hundreds if not thousands of stores available, that ship worldwide. I of course recommend Healing Crystals because I know how awesome the team there is, and that shipping is a flat $3 no matter where you are or how large your order is! But there are many other great sellers, too. Sometimes, Healing Crystals doesn’t have the stone I’m looking for, and in those instances, I utilize a few Etsy sellers. One is Bliss Crystals and the other is Karma Crystals LLC.

If you do shop with Healing Crystals, make sure to use my special discount code, HCJP, at checkout for 10% off your order.

So there you go: a basic primer on crystals, why I love them, and how I use them.

Do you use crystals in your life? Why or why not?

Drop me a note at jp(at)jaimepfeffer.com and let me know; I love hearing from you!

Until next time ….

Jaime
