Imagine if you had a cheerleader with you every day.
Someone supporting you and encouraging you daily.
If “Way to go!” and “Awesome job!” were constantly ringing in your ears.
How would your life be different?
Would you try more things? Step outside of your comfort zone more? Feel better about yourself?
I have a secret I’d like to share with you: you can have this.
While it feels great to have others cheer us on, no other person can be with us doing this for us every moment of every day. But it is still possible; we can be this cheerleader for ourselves.
How?
1. Start small. Begin by saying, “I love you” to yourself a few times every day.
2. From there, begin saying it to yourself in the mirror every morning.
3. Use this affirmation throughout your daily.
When you try something new, cheer yourself on instead of belittling yourself for not getting it perfectly the first time. Imagine you’re dealing with a baby who is just beginning to learn to walk. Encourage yourself just like you would if you were that baby taking steps. When you fall down, cheer yourself on to get back up and try again. This practice works wonders for self love, which is at the root of success.
