The Libra Full Moon is upon us and, folks, IT IS ON!
Being the second full moon in Libra in just two short months, it’s clear to me that Venus, Libra’s ruler, has something to say.
Normally, Venus comes in talking about balance, harmony, and beauty – and she will. But this full moon has an added twist; it’s occurring in the last degree of Aries, Libra’s zodiac opposite and, at times, her (ahem) antithesis.
Don’t get me wrong; it’s not that Libra and Aries don’t get along. It’s just that, well, they are complete opposites. Libra, with her scales of justice and balance, is all about love, harmony and keeping the peace. She’s an air sign, so she thinks things through thoroughly and can be indecisive. Aries, on the other hand, can be feisty, impulsive, and, at times, domineering. Even if you don’t have any Libra or Aries in your chart, there is still much for you to learn here – including how to learn from the people and traits that are opposite of you. And also, how to look at and work with the shadow traits you possess.
While there are other things going on in the sky coincidentally, I’m focusing on the Libra/Aries situation and Uranus and Taurus, which I won’t go into here.
Just know, on a practical level, that there are three areas to focus on during the Libra Full Moon on April 19:
1. Your Relationships. Great questions to ask yourself during this full moon include:
- Are you getting back what you put into your partnerships?
- How do your relationships feel?
- What behaviors or patterns need to go?
2. Beauty.
- What do you like?
- Are you a hopeful person? If not, why not and how can you alter this?
- How can you find beauty in life’s seemingly-ugly things?
3. Change.
- Where do you need to let go of old energy or patterns?
- Where are you or people/situations in your life holding you back?
- How can you move beyond these perceived limits?
As with any full moon, it’s important to note that this is a time when energy is at its peak; hence, don’t be surprised if you feel like you’re bouncing off the walls or notice the people around you doing the same.
Be aware of Full Moon Sensitivity, as well – feeling irritated, drained, ultra-sensitive and the like – and don’t freak if you suddenly find yourself dealing with insomnia. It will pass.
Above all, take some time to cleanse yourself and clear out the energy of the previous month through a Full Moon Ritual.
A simple one could be as easy as lighting a candle, answering the self-reflective questions above, listening to my Cord Cutting Meditation, and clearing your energy with sage.
Lastly, I’ve rounded up 13 of my favorite crystals to assist you in managing all of this and transforming into your beautiful, awesome self during this full moon.
