As I approach a day that departs from my normal routine, its tempting to fall into a trap of worry and negative thinking.
I wonder how everything could possibly work out.
I may create imaginary scenarios in my head of worst-case scenarios.
But worry doesn’t help anything. It only robs me of the moment and the day.
Instead of worrying, what can I do? I will face my fears head-on. I can journal about them or call a trusted friend. I can use a surrender box. And I can remember that whatever happens today, I can handle it. If this seems hard, I can practice the affirmation here throughout my day. Even if I don’t believe it, I can act “as if”.
Do you have a worry action plan? If not, choose one thing right now to do the next time you find yourself worrying. Then scroll down below and tell me what it is. I love hearing from you!

I keep a journal in my backpack and next to my bed!

at (10 years ago)When I call a friend especially when I’m having a hard time that seems to be so helpful lately. When I read or book or take a hot bath and do something for my self that also helps. I kind have fallen off with journaling but have seen its very healing and a dress reliver. Taking action when Im down to get professional help has been a lifesaver. if You have any other ideas for me that would be great what is a surrender box? may have to try it.
